Surfing the Wave

One for tonight that is Amazingly Average related!  I figured I’d bust out some more while I was feeling the rush of the new blog still.

Two characters pit it out

A matchup that I had planned for a while in the comic and never got to.  Needless to say things got insane later on.  Of course I struggled with the writing and that plus plenty more problems led to the poor comics’ untimely demise.  For everyone not familiar, it’s basically just a cool picture of ladies wanting to punch each other!

For people not familiar with the comic I should really prioritize getting the archives re-hosted… :[

It’s Like a Launch Party

Only with far less nerds!  Or… boating enthusiasts?  I don’t know what other genres of products have launch parties.  Probably all of them.

A re imaging of the cast of Homestuck

Cast of MSPA.com's Homestuck

I just finished this piece of fan art for the website mspaintadventures !  I really can’t stop admiring Andrew Hussie’s talent and drive to pump something of such high quality out so often.  Literally mindblowing and by far the best show on the web.  This is a re-imaging of the cast in current-ish uniforms.  They look slightly older I suppose but not by to terribly much.

The Beatles great guitarist.

Caricature of George Harrison

And a surprisingly quick sketch of the famous guitarist George Harrison.  Not EXACTLY spot on but the feel is right.

And that’ll start us off.  I’m shooting for at LEAST weekly if not more-frequent sketches on this thing.  BUT I’VE LET EVERYONE ELSE DOWN BEFORE, RIGHT?… right.

urgh.

Well, It’s Not Much…

Welcome to an Art Blog of sorts!

I couldn't be more angry.

But I still call this website home.

The comics not back and if you’re still reading this I applaud you.  I also applaud you for visiting the site, which has been clean for two months now but my host still tells me is blacklisted by Google.

I’ve had no problems reaching the site anyway.

For now I’ve decided just to try and maintain an art blog.  For the longest time it was easy to draw comics but I couldn’t draw much anything else.  So I’m going to try and just practice and keep working on one shots.  Maybe a couple short comics here and there.  Maybe someday AA will come back, or the pages I’ve worked on for supafine.com might get posted and I’ll update this site as well.

I decided not to post previous artwork from my photobucket and deviant art accounts here simple because you can see them elsewhere.  I’m aware Photobucket likes to downsample images and if there’s anything you’d like to see the original of, just ask.

And yes, I realize that Wordpress was the initial bane of Amazing Average, taking the site down in a stream of fire and brimstone, but I’m going to try it again.  A simpler version, updating the blog software as often as I can.  Maybe we can forgo that whole mess!  So with that all out of the way I guess we can start the show, as soon as I hammer out the rest of the kinks…
